Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 is a new management solution in
the System Center family of IT systems management products specifically designed
for midsize businesses (up to 500 PCs and 30 Servers). Essentials 2007 provides
a unified management solution that enables IT professionals in midsize
organizations to proactively manage their IT environment with increased
efficiency.
SQL Technology: Essentials 2007 requires Microsoft SQL Server to support
its operational activities. This license comes with SQL Technology but may ONLY
be used to support Essentials 2007. If you need the full, unrestricted version
of SQL Server, you must purchase that separately.
Licensing: Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 requires a Server License
for the management server and a Management License ("ML") for each managed
operating system environment ("OSE"). A Server ML is required for management of
each server OSE, and a Client ML is required for management of each non-server
OSE.
Includes:
- 10 Server MLs to manage 10 server OSEs
- 50 Client MLs to manage 50 Windows-based PC OSEs
- Runtime-restricted version of SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
Additional Server MLs can be purchased as a single license or in a 5-pack, and
additional Client MLs in a 5-pack or 20-pack.
