The Microsoft Open Charity License program allows nonprofit organizations to purchase multiple software licenses—instead of multiple software packages—at reduced prices. To qualify for the Open Charity License, an organization must hold Charity Status1 conferred by an appropriate Recognizing Authority
2, and provide a source for Verification
3 of this status. 2Verification of Charity Status may be provided by the following documentation/sources: | • | An identification number on a form or certificate from a Recognizing Authority to verify registration, and | | • | An official copy of a letter and/or tax exemption receipt from the IRBM. |
